Located in the East Village, Roku Nana is a bi-level Japanese Izakaya and Speakeasy with a casino-inspired theme. The space collages fragments of art from different times and spaces, transporting you to an elegant yet surreal "otherworld". Enjoy reimagined Japanese dishes at Roku, then head upstairs after hours where the space transforms into Nana, serving handcrafted cocktails.

In preparation for the restaurant launch, I developed brand guidelines, logo concepts, illustrations, and print collateral including menus, business cards, takeout packaging, and posters, as well as in-store products like check holders, coasters, poker chips, and playing cards.

(concept sketches)
Designed a pop-up accordion menu in the form of playing cards, with each card featuring a different drink for Roku Nana’s speakeasy. The concept tied into the casino-inspired theme, where guests used poker chips to order. The project included illustrations, menu cover and layout, and a full custom playing card set—card faces, backs, and box.
